IMF to decide on new program for Ukraine on June 9

The IMF Executive Board has scheduled a meeting regarding Ukraine for next Tuesday, June 9, during which it will decide on a new Stand-by Arrangement and the allocation of the first tranche.

This is stated in the calendar of formal meetings of the IMF Executive Board, published on the IMF website on June 3.

Thus, a meeting entitled "Ukraine - Request for Stand-by Arrangement; Ex-Post Evaluation of Exceptional Access under the 2015 Extended Fund Arrangement" is scheduled for June 9.

As Ukrinform reported, last month, the IMF staff and the Ukrainian authorities reached staff-level agreement for a new 18-month Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) in the amount of USD 5 billion.

In this regard, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed hope that Ukraine will receive the first tranche from the IMF by June 10.
