Deposits of individuals in Deposit Guarantee Fund’s banks total UAH 520 bln

The total amount of deposits of individuals in banks-participants of the Deposit Guarantee Fund amounted to UAH 520.24 billion as of April 1, 2020, according to the Fund’s press service.
In particular, out of the total deposits of individuals, hryvnia deposits made up UAH 285.39 billion, and deposits in foreign currency amounted to UAH 234.85 billion. Some 98.2% of the depositors have fully protected deposits (from UAH 10 to UAH 200,000), which are subject to guarantees of the Fund. Some 39.9% of the deposits are fully covered by guarantees of the Fund, which makes up UAH 207.31 billion.
As of April 1, 2020, the share of private entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors was 3.0% and the total amount of their deposits - UAH 31.87 billion (6.1% of the total).
As of April 1, 2020, there were 74 banks in the register of participants of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
