Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has stated that the corporatization of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority will be completed and agreements on some ports’ concession will be signed.

The minister said this during an online meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the ministry’s press service reported.

In particular, the discussion was devoted to the issues of water transport and the operation of ports, as well as further plans for cooperation with the business community on water transport infrastructure.

Kryklii noted that the Infrastructure Ministry had developed and published a draft methodology for calculating port charges.

"We look forward to working together with the business on the project, ready to consider constructive comments, we have also started agreeing the document with other authorities, we expect to achieve the result by the end of May," the minister said.

According to Kryklii, the corporatization of the Sea Ports Authority will be completed, but the corresponding bill needs substantial revision in line with the received comments from other central executive authorities and the State Regulatory Service.

“We’re planning to sign concession agreements in line with the schedule. Concession projects in the ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa and Berdyansk are being developed. Concession remains our unchanged priority,” the minister added.
