Finance Minister: Budget amendments provide for IMF aid

The support from international financial institutions, including direct support from the International Monetary Fund, is provided for in the adopted state budget.
"We provided for resources from international financial institutions, including direct budget support from the IMF, in this budget. The support of our international partners is very important as it enables us to fully finance all necessary expenditures, first of all, physicians' salaries, social security, infrastructure spending," Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko announced, the Ministry's press service informs.
Marchenko noted that the Finance Ministry expected the Parliament to support the so-called “banking bill” which would accelerate the receipt of IMF assistance.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved amendments to the state budget for 2020 on April 13.
