Zelensky and China's ambassador discuss economic cooperation between countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Fan Xianrong discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries, the president’s press service reports.
"During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of further development of Ukrainian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation," the report says.
The interlocutors noted that China is one of Ukraine's major trading partners, with bilateral trade totaling USD 12.8 billion in 2019 and prospects for further growth.
In addition, Zelensky discussed with the Chinese ambassador the possibility of attracting investments from China to Ukraine, in particular for the implementation of infrastructure projects.
The president expressed gratitude for China's unwavering position on maintaining Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
