The warm winter has allowed Ukraine cutting electricity consumption by 10%.
Energy and Environmental Protection Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel made a corresponding statement during an hour of questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We have the warmest winter, which means that the pattern of our consumption is changing. Commodity products in the energy and utilities sector decrease. Electricity consumption drops by 10%, and the thermal energy consumption also reduces," Orzhel said.
Earlier, the minister stated that the average electricity price had fallen by 26% under the incumbent Government.
