Passenger traffic at Ukrainian airports grew by 18.5% last year

In 2019, passenger flow at Ukrainian airports made up 24.336 million people, which is 18.5% more than in 2018, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine has reported.

“In 2019, the number of passengers carried by Ukrainian airlines increased by 9.5% compared to the previous year and amounted to 13,722,3 thousand people, while the number of passengers carried by international flights rose by 9.7% to 12,560,4 thousand people. Passenger traffic at Ukrainian airports increased by 18.5% and reached 24,336,6 thousand people, while international traffic grew by 19.8% and amounted to 21,995,6 thousand people," the statement says.

In 2019, Ukrainian airlines operated 102.6 thousand commercial flights (+2.4% compared to 2018), including 86.2 thousand international flights (+2.6%).

As reported, in 2018, passenger flow at Ukrainian airports increased by 24.5% compared to 2017 and amounted to 20,545,5 thousand people, while international traffic rose by 25.8% and made up 18,356,7 thousand people.
