In 2019, the Customs Service of Ukraine transferred $14.6 billion in revenues to the state budget, an increase of $1 billion from 2018.

Head of the State Customs Service Maksym Nefyodov wrote about this on Facebook.

“In 2019, the new Customs Service replenished the state budget with $14.6 billion, which is $ 1 billion more than in 2018…The larger [amount of revenues] was transferred only once, in 2008, the year of peak lending, huge imports from Russia and without occupation and annexation of territories ($18.1 billion),” wrote Nefyodov.

He has also stressed that the new State Customs Service, even at the beginning of the reform, is operating much more efficiently than in 2008.

As Ukrinform reported, the new State Customs Service was launched in Ukraine on December 8, 2019.
