Average exchange rate in 2020 projected at UAH 27 per U.S. dollar - Markarova

The Ukrainian Finance Ministry relies on a macroeconomic forecast prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine regarding an average annual exchange rate of UAH 27 per U.S. dollar, Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said.
She said this during the presentation of Ukraine's draft state budget for 2020 for the second reading on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The dollar exchange rate is not laid down in the budget. The dollar exchange rate is laid down in the macroeconomic forecast. The macroeconomic forecast we approved the day before, which was prepared by the Economy Ministry, envisages an average rate of 27 hryvnias per U.S. dollar," Markarova said.
Earlier, the draft state budget for 2020 was calculated at the exchange rate of UAH 28.2 per U.S. dollar, which was approved in May.
