PM Honcharuk: Investors expected to take interest in Ukraine's economic growth
"Re-privatization is very dangerous. An investor in Ukraine should feel that if he or she has invested something, no one will take it away. We need to create such conditions so that people will invest money in Ukraine and will not be afraid that someone will simply take this money away. Unfortunately, such practice has existed in Ukraine for decades," Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said on the air of the Freedom of Speech TV program on ICTV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to him, investors should be interested in Ukraine’s economic growth.
"In my opinion, it is not very reasonable to leave a country that is going to grow. The World Bank's updated forecast shows 3.7% growth. They should come here, not leave," the Prime Minister added.
At the same time, he noted that investors should also respect the environment in Ukraine.
"If a company fulfills its obligations to the state, there will be no problems," Honcharuk summed up.
As reported, President Zelensky, as well as more than 50 representatives of international and Ukrainian investment funds, companies, donor organizations and international financial corporations are expected to take part in the investment forum RE:THINK Invest in Ukraine in Mariupol on October 29.
