Parliament adopts bill on sources of financing of State Road Fund

A total of 337 MPs voted in favor of the relevant draft law at a parliament meeting on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to the explanatory note, the document envisages amendments to the Budget Code, providing for directing administrative and economic penalties for violation of the legislation on road transport to the sources of financing of the State Road Fund. The allocation of the corresponding funds to the State Road Fund will serve as an additional source of financing for the road economy and will ensure the financing of works on construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of roads in accordance with reasonable needs.

As Ukrinform reported, UAH 23.8 billion was allocated from the State Road Fund in 2018 for the reconstruction and repairs of roads of national importance.
