Ukraine reduces sugar exports by 24% in MY 2018/2019

For 11 months of the marketing year 2018/2019 (MY, September 2018 - August 2019), Ukraine reduced sugar exports by 24% compared to the same period of last year, according to the press service of the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine.

Moreover, Ukraine did not import sugar during the reporting period.

According to the report, sugar exports in July 2019 amounted to 7,000 tonnes. “In the current marketing period, main deliveries are made to the post-Soviet countries: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan,” the report says.

The press service added that during the reporting period, sugar imports to Ukraine had been practically absent.
