Exports of Ukrainian goods and services grow by 6%

In the first half of 2019, the exports of goods and services from Ukraine totaled $29.5 billion, up 5.9% compared to the same period in 2018.

“In the first half of 2019, the exports of Ukrainian goods and services totaled $29.54 billion, or 105.9% compared to the first year-half of 2018, while the imports totaled $31.16 billion or 107.9%,” the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports.

As noted, in January-June 2019, the exports of goods from Ukraine totaled about $24.47 billion (up 5.2% compared to January-June 2018), including $10.28 billion to the EU countries. The imports of goods to Ukraine in the first half of 2019 reached $28.2 billion (up 8.5%), including $11.8 billion from EU countries.

In January-June 2019, the exports of services from Ukraine amounted to almost $5.9 billion (up 7.6% compared to January-June 2018), including $2.0 billion to the EU countries. The imports of services to Ukraine in the first half of 2019 reached $2.96 billion (up 2.5%), including $1.56 billion from the EU countries.
