The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine hosted a meeting of the expert group on protection of national interests in the gas field.
"The meeting participants considered the current threats to the national security of Ukraine in the gas sector and the issue of unbundling of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine," the NSDC’s press service reports.
Addressing the participants, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk stressed that energy security, in particular, the gas supply is one of the most pressing issues today, especially in the context of preparation for next heating season.
"We have to resolve this issue and there can be no half steps," Danylyuk stressed.
