Ukrainian farmers already harvest over 26 mln tonnes of grain

"As of July 24, Ukrainian farmers harvested 26.1 million tonnes of grain crops of the new harvest from an area of 7.2 million hectares, or 74% of the target," the report says.

In particular, Ukrainian farmers harvested 18.9 million tonnes of wheat from an area of 4.9 million hectares (74%); 6.5 million tonnes of barley from 2.0 million hectares (79%); 553,000 tonnes of peas from 244,000 hectares (86%); 71,000 tonnes of rye from 27,000 hectares (24%); and 39,000 tonnes of oats from 17,000 hectares (9%).

Also, 2.8 million tonnes of winter rape were gathered from an area of 1.1 million hectares (89%).

As reported, as of July 22, 2019, farmers in all regions harvested 23.5 million tonnes of grain crops an area of 6.6 million hectares, or 68% of the target.
