Sales of gasoline and diesel fuel down in Ukraine in H1 2019

Retail sales of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine shrank by 5.5% and by 1.2% respectively in the first half of 2019 compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Service has reported.

In January-June 2019, UAH 21.49 billion worth of gasoline was sold via filling stations, which was 5.5% less than in the same period of 2018. Gasoline 92 octane was sold for UAH 8.46 billion (14.9% less than in the first half of 2018) and gasoline 95 octane for UAH 12.59 billion (0.8% more).

Diesel fuel was sold at filling stations for UAH 15.7 billion in the first half of 2019 (1.2% less than in the first half of 2018), and liquefied gas (propane and butane) for UAH 9.7 billion (15.5% more).

According to the State Statistics Service, gasoline 92 octane rose in price in Ukraine in June 2019 on average by 1.7% from June 2018, gasoline 95 octane by 2%, diesel fuel by 7.5%, and liquefied gas by 2.2%.
