Ukraine, Latvia to jointly develop innovations and inventions
The document will contribute to the establishment of cooperation between the countries and exchange of experience on intellectual property reform, the Government portal reports.
"Support for innovation and technological development is a prerequisite for economic growth, and for three years the Economic Development Ministry has been actively working on reforms in this area. We have started a new process - the creation of an Intellectual Property Development Strategy to ensure an integrated approach and coordination. Experts of the World Intellectual Property Organization help us with this, so the experience of the Latvian colleagues will be very useful for us," Kubiv said.
The minister added that Ukraine and Latvia could significantly enhance scientific and technical cooperation in intellectual property both at the bilateral level and within the framework of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Kubiv also stressed that closer cooperation between Ukraine and Latvia should focus on the continuation of the reforms already started.
