Germany is partner of Ukraine in energy efficiency development

The German Government supports Ukraine in different directions, including in the field of energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy.

“The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) assists Ukraine to carry out reforms. At the same time, the GIZ energy cluster is growing and already includes nine projects,” Deputy Head of the GIZ project “Energy Efficiency Reform in Ukraine” Ms Ima Khrenova-Shimkina said at the 5th Energy Efficiency Partnership Forum in Kyiv.

Thus, the implementation of the EU’s Energy Efficiency Directive, the implementation of energy management mechanisms and ESCO project continue with the support of the Government of Germany.

Ms Ima Khrenova-Shimkina also paid special attention to the issue of improving energy efficiency in companies. After all, reducing the cost of production and improving the competitiveness of enterprises and the country as a whole depend on energy-efficient projects.
