Mariupol mayor, EIB representatives discuss infrastructure projects
“Mayor Vadym Boichenko met with representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities, and the TransTec company. They discussed issues of further cooperation and implementation of infrastructure projects of the city,” Mariupol City Council reported on March 20.
The purpose of the visit to Mariupol is to discuss technical issues and to inspect sites for the implementation of potential projects, which will be presented for funding under the National Credit Program for the restoration of Ukraine.
“We adopted the development strategy of Mariupol 2021. Thanks to international cooperation, it has already been implemented by 70%. Together with our partners, we pursue large-scale infrastructure projects and European initiatives,” Boichenko said.
In turn, the EIB representative noted that Mariupol demonstrated active position in the formation of proposals for participation in the competition. “We want to support projects that will be implemented in the Sea of Azov region. Many of them are included in the fourth competition. I am impressed with the projects that are being implemented in Mariupol and the progress of their implementation,” he noted.
