The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine intends to focus its work on the transport connectivity of Ukraine with the countries of the European Union, particularly through the railway service.

Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan stated this, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We need to focus our efforts on Ukraine's transport connectivity with the European Union and the railway service. We plan it will be Lviv, Kyiv, and Odesa – from where the fast passenger and container transportation service will be launched, which will enable business and common Ukrzaliznytsia clients to use advantages of modern transport,” said Omelyan.

He noted that the ministry plans to unite efforts so that this year the decision to expand transport connectivity with the EU can be considered at the level of government and parliament, which will provide guaranteed funding from the 2020 state budget on key projects of Ukrzaliznytsia.
