Economic Development Ministry launches state register of import substitution in defense industry

"On January 30, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for setting up and maintaining the state register of import substitution and cooperation in the defense industry complex, which was developed by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry. The draft resolution was developed to enhance the processes of import substitution and promote cooperation between enterprises of the defense industry of Ukraine,” reads the report.

The implementation of the ministry’s initiative will allow Ukraine to form the unified database of manufacturers and users of defense-related products, the supply of which have been fully or partially terminated - critical import.

The initiative also envisages that the unified database of manufacturers of defense-related products will help expand cooperation ties, which will allow them to launch own production facilities and develop the manufacture of new products.
