Canadian and Chinese companies intend to construct waste recycling plant in Kherson region

"On December 4, Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andriy Hordeyev held a working meeting with the president of Projex International Inc. and the representatives of Shenwu Technology Group Corporation, who are interested in building a waste recycling plant [in Kherson region] and are ready to invest in the development of the region, " the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration reported on Tuesday.

The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration and a representative of the Canadian company already held a working meeting on November 21, 2017, and after a month a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Kherson Regional State Administration, the Chinese company Shenwu Technology Group Corporation and the Canadian company Projex International Inc.

During the meeting on Tuesday, the parties discussed the issue of informing about the Shenwu Technology Group Corporation’s commitment with respect to technology, the issue of a public-private partnership agreement and its terms, the construction site for the waste recycling plant, environmental aspects and requirements, municipal solid waste supply, the issue of licensing procedures, electrical connection and permission to sell electricity.

"This is a very important project for Kherson region. Its implementation will help preserve the region’s ecology and create new jobs," Andriy Hordeyev said.
