Slovakia is ready to provide Ukraine with humanitarian assistance in the amount of EUR 125,000.

President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska stated this at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on November 23, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Slovakia has been providing help to Ukraine over the past five years. Today, we will also give another humanitarian assistance in the amount of EUR 125,000,” Kiska said.

He stressed that there were no unresolved issues between Ukraine and Slovakia, the volume of bilateral trade were growing, and 90% of gas coming to Ukraine was from Slovakia.

Kiska also stressed that the issue of opening an airport in Uzhhorod remained a priority since the Kyiv-Uzhhorod and Slovakia route was very important.
