Donetsk region almost completes sowing winter crops – Regional Administration

The farmers of Donetsk region have already sown 381.5 thousand hectares with winter crops, which is 110% of the forecast.
This data has been provided by the agriculture and rural development department of Donetsk Regional State Administration.
"In the region, the sowing of winter grain and fodder crops for the 2019 harvest has been almost completed. As of October 29, 2018, all categories of farms sowed 381.5 thousand hectares with winter crops (including winter rapeseed), which is 110% of the forecast,” reads the report.
In particular, the farmers of the region have already sown 351.4 thousand hectares with winter grain crops, which is 106.5% of the forecast (326.5 thousand hectares in 2017) and 28.4 thousand hectares with winter rapeseed, which is 181.0% of the forecast (22.0 thousand hectares in 2017).
