Official trade mission of 12 large U.S. companies to visit Ukraine
This is reported by the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine upon the meeting of First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv with U.S. Commerce Department Undersecretary for International Trade Gilbert Kaplan.
“At the end of October, the first official trade mission of 12 large U.S. companies will arrive in Ukraine to search for interesting investment opportunities. They aim to find profitable investment opportunities in Ukraine, in particular, with the use of privatization as one of the mechanisms,” Kaplan said.
As Stepan Kubiv noted, there are many small enterprises now in Ukraine that have already been successfully privatized through Prozorro.Sale state auction system. “However, I want to draw attention of U.S. business to large objects, the privatization of which is just beginning under the new rules. We offer private investors the energy enterprises, as well as large infrastructure and industrial companies,” the official stressed.
The parties also discussed strengthening of cooperation between American and Ukrainian chambers of commerce and other issues of trade and economic cooperation, in particular, the potential of cooperation in replacing imported Russian goods in the Ukrainian market, namely industrial goods, innovative products and others.
