Ukrainians pay UAH 11.8 bln of military tax in January-August 2018

In January- August 2018, UAH 11.8 billion of military tax was transferred to the state budget, which is 24.4% more compared with the same period last year, the press service of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports.
According to the SFS, the planned figures for the revenues from military tax for the reported period were fulfilled by 102.3%, and UAH 259.4 million was paid additionally.
"The current figures exceeded the corresponding period last year by 24.4%, or UAH 2.3 billion," reads the report.
As reported, the rate of military tax is 1.5% of income subject to taxation. Payers of military tax are individuals - residents and non-residents who receive income in Ukraine.
