Salaries in agricultural sector grow 24.5% - Agrarian Policy Ministry

In January-May 2018, average monthly salaries in the agricultural sector grew 24.5% compared with the same period last year, the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry reports.
"According to the State Statistics Service, in January-May 2018, the average monthly wage in the agricultural sector amounted to UAH 6,524, which is 24.5% more compared with the same period last year," reads the report.
In particular, over the first five months of 2018, the average salary in the food processing industry totaled UAH 7,733, which is 24% more than in January-May 2017.
According to the results of the first quarter of 2018, the average monthly wage in the agricultural sector increased by 21.5%, the ministry reported.
