Salaries in agricultural sector grow by almost a quarter

In January-May 2018, the average monthly salary in the Ukrainian agricultural sector and food processing industry grew by almost a quarter compared to the same period last year, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry reports.
“The average monthly salary in the agricultural sector amounted to UAH 6,524 in January-May 2018, which is 24.5% more compared to the same period last year. In addition, salaries in the food processing industry for the reporting period reached UAH 7,733, which is 24% more than in January-May 2017," the ministry reports.
As reported, in January-April 2018, the average monthly salary in the agricultural sector totaled UAH 5,853, which is 21.5% more than for the same period in 2017.
