Ukravtodor: UAH 2 trillion needed to repair all highways in Ukraine

About UAH 2 trillion is needed to carry out major repairs of all roads connecting populated areas across Ukraine, according to Oleksandr Kava, an adviser of the head of the State Automobile Roads Agency Ukravtodor.
"As for the roads where patch works are carried out, this is a compulsory measure to ensure possible driveway on the roads that need major repairs. To repair all roads of the country, roads connecting populated areas, UAH 2 trillion is needed. There are no such funds in the state budget," Kava said on 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
Speaking about the cost of road repairs per a kilometer, he noted that everything depends on the required amount of land works.
"Speaking about medium repairs, then the road of the second-third category costs [UAH]10 - 15 million per a kilometer," Kava said.
