Ukraine’s Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry: Japan interested in Ukrainian food products

The Ukrainian food products enjoying the greatest demand of Japanese consumers have been identified.

"Based on the results of the market research, conducted by Consulting Integrated and field-specific associations, the Ukrainian food products enjoying the greatest demand of Japanese consumers have been identified. These products are the following: confectionery, snacks and superfood, tomato paste and other types of pastes from vegetables and berries, jams, canned vegetables and fruits, beer, wine, organic products, honey, nuts, etc.," the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reports.

Olha Trofimtseva, Ukraine’s Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister for European Integration, noted that Japan was among the priority foreign markets for expanding the sales of Ukrainian agrarian and food products.

In 2017, bilateral trade in agrarian and food products between the countries totaled $89.2 million (the share of exports of Ukrainian products amounted to $85.8 million).
