Ukraine exported over 50,000 tons of sugar in May

In May of current marketing year, Ukrainian producers delivered 54,000 tons of sugar to foreign markets, which is 29% up than in previous month.
This is reported by the press service of the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine.
"In May, the main importer of Ukrainian sugar was again Uzbekistan (72%). In addition, 11% of deliveries were made to the UK, 5% to Azerbaijan and 4% to Moldova," Ukrtsukor Analytical Department Director Ruslana Butylo said.
The total Ukraine’s sugar exports for nine months of 2017/2018 MY is 433,300 tons, which is 36% less than over the corresponding period previous year.
