Polish Foreign Minister: Russia uses Nord Stream 2 to put pressure
Ukrinform
Poland and the United States oppose the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, which can be used by Russia to put pressure on the European countries.
"We [Poland and the United States] similarly assess the harm from this project, which gives Russia certain tools for action, and Russia is an aggressive and revisionist country," Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said on the air of the Polish Radio.
According to him, Nord Stream 2 is a tool which helps Russia to carry out the policy harmful to the West.
"It [Nord Stream 2] does not help diversify gas supplies to Europe. It is a source of pressure. Our interests here coincide with the interests of the United States," the head of Polish diplomacy stated.
As a reminder, Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic states actively oppose the construction of the Nord Stream 2.
