This is stated in an analytical publication "Irregular Research", the second issue of which is devoted to the analysis of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods with European countries in 2017," the NBU's press service reported.
"In 2017, Ukraine's economic relations with Europe substantially strengthened, largely due to exports. After a long break, Europe again became the main trading partner of Ukraine. According to last year's figures, the export of goods to European countries increased by 31%, to $14.4 billion., and its volumes exceeded the level of the pre-crisis year 2013. Europe's share in exports reached 36% and was the highest since 2004," the report says.
A significant increase in exports to Europe in 2017 was ensured by physical volumes and by favorable prices.
