A sharp increase in foreign direct investment is observed in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this during a joint press conference with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are currently observing a sharp increase in foreign direct investment, a huge interest of investors in Ukraine," Poroshenko said.

He assured that Ukraine's authorities would continue to implement reforms aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of the country.

The head of state reminded that a large-scale privatization of Ukrainian state enterprises would begin soon, and foreigners would be able to take part in it.

As Ukrinform reported, President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen was on an official visit to Ukraine on March 13-15.
