Kyiv International Airport sees a 51.6% rise passenger flow in February 2018

The number of passengers served on international flights totaled 124.9 thousand, domestic flights – 5.9 thousand.

The number of flights in February 2018 included 1,648 both arrivals and departures, which is 20.5% more compared with the same period in 2017 (of which, there were 1,356 international flights and 292 domestic flights).

“Most of the flights to Kyiv Airport were performed by Wizz Air, which operates flights from the capital of Ukraine to 10 European countries in 21 directions," head of the airport’s press service Halyna Bohdanenko told Ukrinform.

The most popular international directions in February 2018 were Dubai (UAE), Minsk (Belarus), Ankara (Turkey), Warsaw (Poland), Budapest (Hungary), Memmingen (Germany), Rome (Italy). Among domestic flights, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Lviv were in lead.

Bohdanenko also added that new charter flights are planned to be launched from Kyiv International Airport in April. In particular, this will be charter flights from the first Ukrainian budget Sky Up airline and a new flight Kyiv - Bologna (Italy) from the Ernest airline.
