European Commission plans to allocate EUR 33 mln to Ukraine for budget support programs

The European Commission intends to allocate EUR 32.5 million to Ukraine for sector budget support programs, the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry reports.

"In 2018, the European Commission envisages EUR 32.5 million to Ukraine for sector budget support programs on regional development and public administration," reads the report.

The corresponding decision was announced following the results of the revision of the EU project portfolio with the participation of Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Maksym Nefyodov and Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli.

"We are grateful for the EU’s assistance to Ukraine. But now we should urgently solve several issues. First of all, we should to introduce online registration and monitoring of international assistance projects, ensure regular informing of the Economic Development Ministry by the European Commission about monitoring of the ongoing projects implementation and holding of new EU project selection competitions announced by the European Commission in Brussels," said Nefyodov.
