As reported, the international reserves of Ukraine as of 1 January 2018 amounted to USD 18.808,45 million (in equivalent). Last year they increased by 21%, mainly due to the receipt of funding from the International Monetary Fund at about $1 billion as well as purchase of $1.3 billion during currency interventions against the backdrop of a favorable situation on the foreign exchange market.
