Ukraine’s international reserves total $18.5 bln

As of today, the international reserves of Ukraine total USD 18.5 billion.

Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Dmytro Solohub said this at a briefing on Thursday, March 1, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The reserves total about $18.5 billion," Solohub said.

As reported, the international reserves of Ukraine as of 1 January 2018 amounted to USD 18.808,45 million (in equivalent). Last year they increased by 21%, mainly due to the receipt of funding from the International Monetary Fund at about $1 billion as well as purchase of $1.3 billion during currency interventions against the backdrop of a favorable situation on the foreign exchange market.
