Cabinet approves concept of digital economy development for 2018-2020

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the Concept for the Development of Digital Economy and Society in Ukraine for 2018-2020 and approved an action plan for its implementation.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said this at the Cabinet’s meeting, an correspondent of Ukrinform reports.

"The concept of the development of the digital economy and society until 2020 and the action plan for its implementation is a real road map for the digital transformation of the economy," Kubiv said.

The concept provides for determining the directions, mechanisms and timing of the formation of the effective electronic governance in Ukraine, improving the system of public administration, increasing competitiveness and stimulating the country's social and economic development. In addition, the adoption of the Concept will ensure in the short term: stimulation of the economy and attraction of investments, creation of the basis for transforming domestic industries into competitive and efficient ones due to their "digitalization."
