Ukrainian Justice Ministry fulfills action plan for EU-Ukraine Association Agreement implementation

“As part of bringing the national legislation of Ukraine in line with the norms of the European Union, the Justice Ministry fulfils the tasks defined in the action plan for the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement,” Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said, the Ministry’s press service reports.

In particular, the Justice Ministry implemented the provision of Directive 2009/101/EC on disclosure of owners of companies. This step ensured the information transparency of activities of the legal entities and disclosure of information about the ultimate owners in the unified state register.

According to Petrenko, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on electronic trust services, which implements the regulations for carrying out electronic transactions within the domestic market.

In addition, the minister stressed, an important task for the state is to implement the EU standards in the field of creating and using electronic signatures and electronic seal.
