Vinnytsia region harvests highest grain yield of over 5 mln tonnes

Agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership in Vinnytsia region collected 5.02 million tonnes of grain as of December 11. This is the largest grain harvest among the regions of the country.
“As of December 11, 2017, 5 million 20 thousand tonnes of grain were harvested by all categories of farms in the region, with an average yield of59.4 center/ha. This is the largest grain harvest among the regions of the country," the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration's department on information activities and communication with public reports.
Also, grain for maize was collected throughout an area of 350.2 thousand hectares, which totals 98.8% of the projected yield, and 2,602.9 thousand tonnes were trashed with a yield of 74.3 center/ha.
In general, out of 852.5 thousand hectares of grain and legume crops to be collected, the harvest was collected throughout an area of 845.8 thousand hectares, or 99.2% of the projected yield.
