The economic cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union gains pace.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this during a joint press conference with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in Brussels on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We see that economic cooperation is gaining pace. The free trade agreement shows its effectiveness. We have a 29% growth in bilateral trade. We are grateful to the EU for trade preferences," Groysman said.

According to him, the talks with the EU leadership helped to outline plans for further cooperation, achieving the goals set forth in the Sustainable Development Strategy 2020 and to outline steps to continue reforms that will allow raising living standards quality and facilitate the rapprochement of Ukraine with the European Union.
