The average wage in Ukraine in 2018 may grow to UAH 10,000, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.
He stated this on the ICTV television channel late on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I am convinced that our task for the next year is to bring the average wage in Ukraine to a level of not less than UAH 10,000. Then we will return a more or less normal pace of an increase in the average wage for hired employees," Groysman said.
He recalled that now the average wage in the country was UAH 7,400, but the prime minister considers it insufficient.
The head of government also recalled that at the beginning of the nest year, the minimum wage would start growing by UAH 500. The government does not plan to stop on this, but for growth it is necessary that the economy dynamically develops.
