Unsettled conflict in Donbas to hamper development of Ukrainian economy – Fitch

International credit rating agency Fitch Ratings believes that unsettled conflict in eastern Ukraine poses a risk to achievement of proper macroeconomic indicators and stability in the country.
This is stated in the findings of Fitch Ratings, which were distributed during the conference of the international rating agency, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Unsettled conflict in eastern Ukraine poses a risk to achievement of macroeconomic indicators and stability in the country," the findings read.
In addition, Fitch notes that the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2019 increase the political component in carrying out reforms, while the unresolved dispute between Ukraine and Russia regarding $3 billion debt is one of the risks to restoration of the Ukrainian economy.
