Ukraine’s GDP rises by 2.1% in Q3 2017

Ukraine’s real gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 2.1% in July-September 2017 compared with the same period in 2016.

The figures are indicated in the updated report of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

As stated, Ukraine's economy maintains its positive growth trend. The real GDP in Q3 2017 increased by 0.2% compared with the previous quarter (taking into account seasonal factor) and rose by 2.1% compared with Q3 2016.

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported earlier that the real GDP in Q2 2017 increased by 0.6% compared with Q1 2017 (taking into account seasonal factor) and rose by 2.4% compared with Q2 2016.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated in September 2017 that the country’s GDP had been growing six quarters in a row after fourteen quarters of decline.
