Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has reported about a 32% increase in air transportation in Ukraine in 2017.
Groysman stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday when reporting on the results of government’s work over January-September 2017, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I want to draw your attention to the fact that air transportation has increased by 32%, and passenger traffic at Ukrainian airports is also growing. The economy is starting to recover,” Groysman said.
In addition, according to him, domestic rail passenger traffic grew by 3.2%, and the transit through seaports increased by 4.2%.
“For us, it is very important that our ports be competitive,” Groysman said.
The prime minister also stressed that Government should at least triple the funding for repair and construction of Ukrainian roads in 2018.
