Deposit Guarantee Fund debt to NBU decreased by almost 25%

The debt of the Deposit Guarantee Fund to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has reduced by almost 25%, or UAH 2.3 billion, to UAH 6.8 billion, the NBU press service reports.

"In the current year, the debt of the Deposit Guarantee Fund to the National Bank decreased by almost 25%, or by UAH 2.3 billion, to UAH 6.8 billion. The last repayment of a loan share totaling UAH 1.3 billion took place on October 5, ahead of schedule,” reads the report.

The NBU noted that the active work of the Fund on selling assets of Ukrainian insolvent banks contributed to an increase in efficient cooperation between the National Bank and the Fund in the sphere of debt repayment.
