"Today, Ukraine has huge potential of attracting investments in solar, wind energy, transition to alternative fuels. There is an opportunity to switch to decentralized energy supply in cities. Therefore, now the task of the state is to create conditions for reducing consumption of energy resources and modernization of energy supply systems, already having the appropriate conditions and financing," Zubko said.

As the Vice PM stated, the residential sector currently consumes 18 billion cubic meters of gas.

"We see the prospects for halving gas consumption due to using renewable energy and reducing consumption through thermo modernization of houses," Zubko said.
