Canadian international trade minister: CUFTA is a win-win for both our countries

François-Philippe Champagne, Canadian Minister of International Trade posted this on his Facebook page.

"Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement is a win-win for both our countries. The agreement will spur innovation and strengthen our middle class while Canadian and Ukrainian businesses alike stand ready to fully benefit from the countless opportunities this agreement will generate," Champagne wrote.

According to the Canadian minister, "the bond between the Canadian and Ukrainian peoples has never been stronger."

The Minister of International Trade of Canada also noted that he had already congratulated his Ukrainian colleagues on start of the free trade.

"Just got off the phone with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv and I am proud to say that the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement is now officially in effect!" Champagne noted.

As reported, the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement came into force.
