Ukraine increases agricultural exports by almost $2 bn

January-May, 2017, the value of Ukrainian agricultural exports increased by $1.795 billion compared to the same period in 2016.

This is reported by the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine.

"The share of exports in the total volume of foreign trade in agricultural products is 80.4%. The key export commodity groups are grain crops (38.1% of total agricultural exports), oil (27.4%) and oilseeds (8.6%)," the report reads.

The Agrarian Policy Ministry enumerated the top ten export products: sunflower oil, corn, soy, sugar, poultry meat and offals, barley, soybean oil, chocolate, honey, vegetables, legumes.

In the regional structure of Ukrainian agrarian exports, the key areas remain: Asian countries (41.1%), the European Union (30%) and Africa (19.3%).
