Debts of utility companies for consumed electricity reached UAH 24.6 bln

The total amount of debts of utility companies for consumed energy reached UAH 24.6 billion, of which UAH 12.4 billion had been accumulated before 2016.
Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko stated this at a meeting dedicated to preparations for heating season, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As for the debts that have been accumulated since 2011: the total amount of debts of heating utility companies amount to UAH 24.6 billion, of which UAH 12.4 billion - debts that had been accumulated by January 1,2016," Zubko said.
He also added that debts of citizen for housing and utility services total UAH 8.6 billion.
